Terrain Management System
Ford's Terrain Management System gives the Ford Expedition the means to optimize its engine, drivetrain and suspension according to the terrain. Each type of terrain or scenario corresponds to a drive mode. When you select the drive mode, the Ford Expedition makes the adjustments, letting you focus entirely on the wheel. The drive modes are:

Electronic Limited Slip Differential
Also called eLSD, this feature locks the rear axle completely. The result is enhanced traction and stability for safer, more controlled navigation on muddy country roads or slippery Ionia streets.
